Prescott Lakes Overview

Prescott Lakes is an active, partially age-restricted community in Prescott, Arizona. This intimate 1,300-home community features a 18-Hole Hale Irwin golf course and is just minutes from historic downtown Prescott. The community's active lifestyle has attracted retirees from around the country. A variety of new and resale homes are available at reasonable prices.

Prescott Lakes has grown into a vibrant community of active individuals who enjoy outdoor recreation and socializing with neighbors. Residents have come to enjoy Prescott Lakes for its gorgeous views, friendly people and a lifestyle that is as laid-back or active as you want it to be.

Construction of Prescott Lakes began around 2001 and now contains 12 unique neighborhoods. Most of the neighborhoods appeal to a mature audience but only two of the neighborhoods have an age-restriction, including The Cottages by Del Webb and Willow Park Estates. Homebuyers can choose from both gated and non-gated neighborhoods and select from home styles that include inexpensive condos, low-maintenance townhomes, affordable single-family homes and luxurious estate homes. Vacant homesites are also available for purchase, allowing homebuyers to build custom homes.

Neighorhoods within Prescott Lakes include Willow Park Estates (55+), The Villages, Legacy, Lakeside, Pinnacle (II, III & IV), Brookside, The Cottages by Del Webb (55+), Creekside, Summit (I, II & III), Stoney Creek, The Estates and Parkside.

Prescott Lakes Amenities

At Prescott Lakes, a 14,000 square-foot clubhouse is the main hub for all community activity. It features a magnificent river rock fireplace surrounded by lounge chairs. The warm ambiance provides an ideal setting to relax with a good book or chat with neighbors. An indoor pool provides a welcome escape from the summer heat and offers water aerobics and exercise classes. An outdoor heated pool and spa are available late spring through early fall. Prescott Lakes Golf

The Prescott Lakes Golf Club winds through the community. The 18-hole course designed by PGA Hall-of-Famer Hale Irwin features magnificent views of the surrounding peaks and nearby lakes. Play is limited to members and their guests and there are several membership options available. The course’s challenging greens and hard-to-read, contoured holes and water features make each round unique. Prescott Lakes is located at an elevation of 5,300 feet, just four miles north of Prescott’s charming downtown district. Historic Prescott is known for its Victorian era homes and many art galleries. Over 8,000 homes are on the National Record of Historic Places. The area features an opera house as well as rodeo grounds. Founded in 1864, it is home to the oldest rodeo in the world. Prescott has been named one of the “Best 50 Places to Live” by National Geographic Adventure and one of the nation’s “Top Ten Dream Cities” by Sunset Magazine.

Unlike the hot desert communities near Phoenix and Tucson, summer temperatures in Prescott Lakes rarely rise over 100 degrees. Prescott enjoys four mild seasons, with 300 days of sunshine a year. The area is renowned for great hiking, golfing and scenic views of the adjacent mountains and nearby lakes.

Outdoor and adventure lovers are surrounded by great destinations such as the Granite Dells, which are mountains of pink granite that lure hikers and rock climbers. Hikers will enjoy bird watching and viewing the local pronghorned antelope. Watson Lake, just 10 miles away, is a great spot for picnics, hiking or biking. Nearby Lynx Lake and Goldwater Lake are stocked with trout and provide for great canoe and kayaking excursions.

Flagstaff is a short drive to the north where towering mountains are ideal for winter skiing. The town also provides a great starting point for trips to the Grand Canyon. Great shopping is nearby at the Prescott Gateway Mall, just two miles from Prescott Lakes.
