I am from FL and Steve is native to NH. We looked for a year and a half from Ocala FL to Canton GA and along the Atlantic from PonteVedra FL to Savannah GA. This is the community that we felt like we would belong. People are from every state and very friendly and active. We immediately knew we made the right decision. Now for the downside. Spalding Country is one of the poorest in the state. There is very little shopping opportunities here, only a couple of good restaurants. I don't worry about the crime. You will get used to going to McDonough, Fayetteville, Peachtree City and Atlanta for most of your outings. You get used to it and there are always friends and neighbors who get together for events at the Fox, 10 of us ladies went to the DeKalb Mkt last week and lunched at Violettes in Decatur. ,We are hopeful that the Village across from the entry will be built sooner than later. We are strongly considering Sun City Peachtree as a retirement location. Is the demographic information for Griffin something that should be considered in our choice of Sun City Peachtree.
