Residents of Del Webb Orlando will soon enjoy a fabulous 30,800 square foot resort-style amenity center.
As the leading developer of 55+ communities, Del Webb has a reputation for offering impressive resort-style amenities and distinctive homes, which appeal to active adults. New Del Webb active adult communities are designed to reflect the company’s more than 50 years of experience, and older Del Webb communities are frequently updated to stay current with homebuyers’ changing needs.
Originally planned under the name La Cresta, the community now known as Del Webb Orlando will soon boast a brand new amenity center, the Monticello Clubhouse. While homeowners have anticipated this multi-million dollar clubhouse, Del Webb has only recently released the official plans for the project. From the looks of it, this beautiful new clubhouse will exceed expectations when it opens in April of 2011.
Set on 12 acres, the Monticello Clubhouse will be surrounded by lush natural beauty, including a lovely lakeside pavilion. The building itself will be 30,800 square feet and include the kind of resort-style amenities that are found at many of Del Webb’s other impressive communities.
As exercise is an important part of an active lifestyle, the clubhouse will feature a fully staffed state-of-the-art fitness center. This spacious facility will be complete with cardiovascular and strength training equipment, an aerobics studio, an indoor walking track and an indoor swimming pool and spa.
The Monticello Clubhouse will also feature plenty of recreational amenities. Some of these include a billiards room, a juice and coffee bar, a business center with internet access, an arts and crafts studio and a grand ballroom. Residents are welcome to socialize in the lounge area or meet around the grand fireplace in the Gathering Hall.
Outdoors, the community amenities continue with a putting green and an 18-hole championship golf course. When the Monticello Clubhouse is complete, the 12 acres surrounding the recreation and fitness center will include a variety of additional amenities. This will include a resort-style outdoor swimming pool and spa, two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, four horseshoe pits, a basketball court, a dog park, an outdoor amphitheater, a fire pit and extensive walking trails. The community also contains a stocked lake with a fishing dock.
With over 50 years of experience in developing 55+ communities, Del Webb knows how to create an ideal environment for active adults. When the Monticello Clubhouse opens in April 2011 at Del Webb Orlando, it is sure to please the community’s current homeowners and attract new residents.

This should be a dandy gang, really looking forward to the photo’s of it. We have been working with the Pulte folks on enhancing the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum, it is clear they are paying attention to their roots. Fascinating to watch the melding of the old with the new to stay ahead of the curve.
I haven’t seen them yet but i hear their new ad campaing will be exceptional. Geared to the boomers, it should be fun to see how much of the early Webb influence is still there. I love the idea of more gathering places too, exactly fitting with the boomer lifestyle.
It will be a dandy for sure Bill. Montecito is going to be awesome. We are very excited about it. My husband and I bought the first house here and we are living our dream. We are so close to Disney and our grandkids are so happy to go to all the parks. Legoland is coming in 2011 and that will another attraction for them. Life is good in DWO!
