According to a recent study conducted by the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement (NCCCR), Texas has leapt over California and Arizona to claim the number two retirement destination state in the country. Florida retains the number one position, attracting over 16 percent of all retirees who move across state lines. At 6.77 percent, Texas still has a long way to go before capturing the number one position.
