Cascades at Estero is an active adult community located in Lee County, Southwest Florida. This gated community is one of very few age-restricted neighborhoods available in Lee County, which makes it highly desirable. Living in Estero is perfect for active retirees who prefer a smaller town atmosphere. Estero has only a population of around 10,000 people; but still provides shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Cascades at Estero also has easy access to I-75.

There are 614 homes in Cascades at Estero, making it one of the smaller active adult communities in Southwest Florida. However, for a small community, Cascades at Estero has a very spacious clubhouse with a superb lineup of indoor and outdoor amenities. Cascades at Estero is a resort-style community without the cost of maintaining a golf course on-site, but is surrounded by plenty of golf courses that residents can enjoy.

Cascades at Estero Amenities

The spectacular 28,000 foot clubhouse acts as the heart of Cascades at Estero. It has a state-of-the art fitness center with a unique heated indoor/outdoor pool combination. It includes a spa and outdoor sundeck for the ultimate in relaxation. The library and four billiard tables offer more rest and relaxation options. This section also includes a computer room, where Cascades residents can stay connected and take care of business.

There are also plenty of hobby and game rooms where residents can get together for their club related activities. Two card rooms, a pottery room, and an arts and crafts room provide ample space for hobbyists. Even the ballroom at Cascades is grand. Not only does it feature a stage and dance floor, but a fully equipped kitchen and a media room.

Outdoors, residents of Cascades at Estero can get together for friendly games of bocce ball on the two courts available, or hold some competitions on any of the six Har-Tru tennis courts. There is even an on-site tennis pro available. The general area also has lots of opportunities for fishing and boating.

Construction of Cascades at Estero started in 2002 and was completed in 2006 by Levitt & Sons. This 55 and over community is comprised of 614 single family style homes, designed to accommodate between 1,525 and 2,420 square feet of living space. Residences in Cascades at Estero are available on a resale basis. These single family homes come in a variety of options - two to four bedrooms, two to three baths - and all have two-car attached garages. State of the art alarm systems also come with all residences in Cascades at Estero. Many homes include covered lanais or scenic views of nature or lakes. Association dues are reasonable and include use of the clubhouse, staffed gatehouse, water and sprinkler system for all properties, and streetlights throughout the community.

Cascades at Estero provides a country club atmosphere without residents having to financially support a golf course. In addition, residents enjoy a huge clubhouse with amenities one would expect to see in a community three times the size of Cascades at Estero. A full-time activities director is on hand to assist with scheduling and planning of events and classes. Some of the existing clubs residents can join are tennis, aerobics, Mahjongg, canasta, poker, crocheting, pinochle, Pilates, bridge, quilting, and euchre. Cascades at Estero also has a monthly newsletter and its own TV channel.

Area

Cascades at Estero is conveniently located off I-75 with easy access to Fort Myers and Naples. However, Estero has some attractions as well. Some of these are the Koreshan State Historic Site, Teco Arena, and Bowditch Point Regional Park. Lee County offers 50 miles of beaches, many wildlife preserves, and award-winning state parks. The Lee County Sports Complex Hammond Stadium is a great place to catch baseball games and view Major League Baseball stars during spring training.
