Legacy of Leesburg was started in 1996. Several builders have helped contribute to this magnificent community including Pringle Development, a reputable builder of active adult communities in Central Florida. In 2011, Florida Leisure Communities acquired the project and will build the final 72 homes in the community. When completed, Legacy of Leesburg will contain nearly 1,000 single-family homes.

Home buyers can currently select from both new construction and resale homes. Florida Leisure Communities introduced 12 new models in 2011 that include three Garden Series models that range from 1,289 to 1,529 square feet. For active adults who want more space, the Estate Series models are available in nine choices ranging from 1,694 to 2,535 square feet. Florida Leisure Communities has incorporated some of the latest sought after designs and desirable features that active adults expect to find in a new home.
