My husband and I have owned at OTOW since 1999. At first we bought a one bedroom and rented our place to “seasonal snowbirds” for 6 months at a time. We were both working full time and only stayed during vacation time in the summer. About 6 years later we sold our 1 bedroom and purchased an 1100 square foot condo. As we got closer to retirement we decided to purchase our current 1700 square foot condo. We considered other condo communities throughout the area. However, looking at amenities, square feet per price, reasonable maintenance fee, never an assessment, great location for shopping, groceries, restaurants, airport and beaches we decided there was no reason to move. We have encouraged others to move here too. Yes, there are a few issues but there is at every community.

We moved here from NJ a year ago. We feel like we live in paradise. Great neighbors, wonderful amenities, a light breeze all year round, low maintenance fee, and a perfect location. The floor plans and closet space can’t be beat. We renovated and it’s stunning. Lovely views too. Quality of life is very high here. Regarding maintenance I’d give it an average rating. The golf course and grounds are well kept, as are the central activity rooms. The gym has new equipment! Our building needs new flooring and a paint job, and we were told we are “on the list.” The elevator was just refurbished, though the floor is still awful. It’s not ideal but in all, we are very happy we decided to move here.

Don't listen to a few negative comments. There are thousands, myself included, who think this is a great place to live. The grounds are well kept and the pools are lovely. You won't find a lower HOA fee in Clearwater. The condos are great and very spacious. Numerous amenities that are fantastic. There is a state of the art gym. Please come and judge for yourself. There are many positive people who live here. Don't let a couple of bad apples frighten you away.

I live here since April 2017; I love it here. I read the reviews and felt compelled to write my own. In response to the maintenance issues, I contacted the office about concerns I had. They advised me to put them in writing, which I did. They responded within 2 days and just in time before Hurricane Irma last September. They handled every point of my written concerns and wrote me a letter in response to mine. If people would put their concerns in writing instead of complaining to anyone and everyone excepr to the people who actually could do something about the issues, they would be singing a different tune. In their response to my letter, they even pointed me to the agency that could address one of my concerns, which I greatly appreciated. I also attend the annual HOA meetings where I learned alot about how things work here at OTOW. I would suggest to the naysayers here that they be more proactive in their attempt to solve their issues; by writing to the management, attending the annual hoa meetings. This way they will learn how the system works, mitigate their own issues, and find less to complain about.

Been here since 7-2018...... My personal opinion is this place is awesome. The neighbors are great and the landscaping is always beautiful. I always see maint workers doing something and it shows. I see some of these post are pretty bad and when I read one inparticular I feel the person would complain about anything. I will say though that I have heard about management not being responsive to issues and having a hard time to get an actual person on the phone so this should be addressed. I have not had to deal with anything yet so no peraonal experience with that. I will say that if it is true then it is a tenants problem because not enough people are complaining. I know for a fact if I had an issue they would get so sick of me they would fix the problem asap. To any OTOW tenant reading this if you have an issue with your building get everybody together and march your little butts down there..make them hear you.

We moved here in January of this year from CLEARWATER Beach, totally renovated our unit ... as a result we needed numerous permits. Even noticed an ant problem in our lobby area, maintenance was there within an hour taking care of the problem. Neighbors go beyond being friendly and willing to over extend themselves. The buildings are on a regular maintenance schedule, painting & roof ... OTOW doesn't wait until the roof is so old it starts to leak, they replace before they get to that point. Some people get annoyed at the need for permits for certain types of work you do, I believe it only helps to maintain the integrity of the building. When I first approached the office re our renovation, they even suggested that I put in request for all work at the same time, thus only paying one fee vs five. I found the office staff to be very efficient and easy to work with.

We bought a unit 8 years ago and we are very happy. The complexe is very well kept and the buildings well maintained. In the 8 years since we arrived, our building was completely repainted, the parking lot repaved and the roof replaced with amembrane system all without a cent in additional contribution. The hoa are very reasonable for all the services provided. My neighbours are friendly and wonderful. Only negative is upper management which does not respond well to people’s concerns. But then again not many people are willing to do something about this serious shortecoming. All in all a wonderful place to be.

2.0

I love the condo I recently inherited, and my neighbors are warm and wonderful.
The two star rating is because of the management. It's impossible to reach an actual person by phone, and often tough to get a return call after leaving a voice mail message.
There is also no transparency. The owner is also the president of the board of directors. Service requests are often ignored.
So, OTOTW is a great place to live. But the management needs a major overhaul.

Maintenance is deplorable. Management is difficult to deal with. They only care about looks of the office area.

I have lived here three years. Nothing but good things to say about the community and it's people. They way this place is managed is disgraceful. No interest other than collecting their money monthly. I would love to see a fresh start to the management and maintenance crew here.

1.0

For a temporary stay it's ok. However, as mentioned before, maintainance is almost non-existent. All they do is mow the lawn once in a blue moon (whatever is left of the lawn) and get the garbage outside. Floors are falling apart, buildings are falling apart. Sometimes you wonder what kind of people move in. Kind a scary. No response from management ever and no attempt of improvements. HOA is way to high, especially if you don't use the pool or the gym with it's partially disfunctional equipment. High turnover with lots of snowbirds. We absolutely cannot recommend this place and are trying to get the heck out of here. Be aware!
