Providence is a gated golf club community in Davenport, Florida. ADB, Toll Brothers, Lennar, Meritage Homes and Contempo started construction of this golf cart friendly community in 2005. This master-planned community is not age-restricted, but it encourages an active lifestyle with a unique lineup of amenities for older adults, as well as for families of all generations. Providence includes a beautiful natural lake and a semi-private 18-hole championship golf course, complete with pro shop and an elaborate clubhouse.
Buyers can choose from over 30 different floor plans between the five builders. Housing options include everything from cozy ranch homes to large large 2-story single family homes and even attached townhomes. Providence in Davenport is conveniently located near several malls, hospitals, and the Orlando International Airport. In addition, it is in close proximity to Sea World, Universal Studios, and Sea World.

Providence boasts a family-oriented fitness and aquatic center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and an activity room for karate, aerobics classes, and other related activities. Providence’s main attraction is the Providence Golf and Country Club. The golf clubhouse includes a pro shop, lounge, and restaurant with seating for 200 people. Residents can find friendly competition on the lighted tennis facilities. In addition, a lap pool for exercising and a resort-style pool complete with lounge area for socializing surround the clubhouse. Plenty of walking and biking trails meander through Providence.

Five different builders - ADB, Toll Brothers, Meritage, Lennar and Contempo - have helped develop the Providence master planned community. Construction started in 2005. The community is still in its infancy but the development is capable of eventually having between 4,000 to 5,000 homes. Residences in Providence offer between 1,840 and 5,089 square feet of living space. Most home sites are golf course or conservation, and some have lake views. All appliances are included and homes at Providence come with a 14 Seer heat pump, termite protection, progress lighting, and washer and dryer hookup. Options include granite, summer kitchens, gas fireplace, French doors instead of sliders, and loft and media rooms. Three car garages are offered as well.

Providence in Davenport provides a distinguished country club lifestyle in a desirable location close to Disney attractions. However, there is much more to do than play golf and visit theme parks. Residents of Providence can stay in shape by utilizing the fitness center, taking part in aerobics classes, or exercise outdoors by playing tennis. Facilities such as the arts and crafts rooms are available for creative endeavors and to meet others with related interests. Plenty of walking trails and conservation areas, where residents can find peace and tranquility, are part of the Providence grounds.
Area
Davenport offers a variety of options for shopping in close proximity; such as prime outlets, The Loop, the Millennium Mall, and the Florida Mall. It is also close to Disney, Celebration, Universal Studios, Sea World and Champions Gate. Kissimmee and Lakeland are only about fifteen minutes away and offer many options for family friendly entertainment. In Kissimmee, the Osceola County Historical Museum & Pioneer Center, the Osceola Performing Arts Center, and Lake Hart make great destinations. In Lakeland, the Polk Museum of Art, Polk Theatre, Hollis Garden, and the Florida Air Museum are all worth visiting. Downtown Orlando is a half hour away from Providence at Davenport, and with all it has to offer makes a great destination for day trips.
