Riverwood at Nocatee by Del Webb is a gated, active adult community located just minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean in Ponte Vedra, Florida. It is part of the master planned, award winning community of Nocatee. Residents of Riverwood will enjoy a quiet enclave and exclusive use of a 38,000 square foot clubhouse.

Seven villages, which are connected via bike paths and trails, are developed by eight highly reputable builders, and make up the community of Nocatee. Riverwood has the lowest starting prices for homes in Nocatee. Nocatee is only ten minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, yet features a convenient commute to downtown Jacksonville, as well as St. Augustine. Easy access to I-95 or US1 is also available.

Nocatee’s social hub will be the town center, scheduled to open in 2010. It will feature residential conveniences; such as banking, dry cleaning, shopping, gas stations, and dining. Residents of Riverwood, as well as all of Nocatee, currently have access to the 75 acres of the eco friendly Community Park. Riverwood Amenities & Lifestyle

Within Del Webb’s Riverwood, a spectacular 37,800 square foot clubhouse, called the Resident’s Club, is scheduled to open in Spring of 2011. It will include a state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center with indoor pool, spa, steam room, and sauna. For social activities a café and library, arts and crafts area, as well as a grand ballroom and stage are planned for as well.

The outdoor amenities of the Resident’s Club will span 15 acres and will include a huge pool with sun deck, outdoor spa, and barbecue pavilion for leisurely days. Two event lawns, four tennis courts, six bocce ball courts, and nine pickleball courts will surely spawn friendly competitions among the residents. A six mile nature trail balances life out nicely in Riverwood.

However, Riverwood residents already can enjoy existing amenities at the completed Discovery Center. Residents can work in the business center or at computer stations, socialize at the bistro café and activities lawn, or relax in the media lounge - perhaps after a friendly game or two of bridge or billiards. Inside the Discovery Center, Riverwood residents also have full use of a movement studio, library, kitchen, and fitness center with weight room.

Riverwood Homes & Real Estate

Riverwood features single family, carriage homes, and multi-story condo buildings, which are all tastefully designed with beautiful Mediterranean-inspired architecture. The single family homes feature six separate floor plans. All include single story construction, covered lanais, and two-car garages. There are four models of carriage homes, each with a one car garage. Each of the two-level carriage home buildings has eight units, with larger models upstairs and the smaller units downstairs. The condos are part of a four-story building with elevators. The condo choices include three different floor plans from 1,818 to 2,129 square feet. Each unit comes with a screened lanai.

Homes in Riverwood are available as new construction or resale homes. All homes in this community are of cinder block construction with stucco overlay. 25 year architectural roofs and hurricane shutters are standard features.

All homes in Riverwood also feature gourmet kitchens with 42” cabinets with crown molding, Corian counters, separate inside laundry rooms and tile and carpeting. One important unique factor is a storm room in the garage for use in the event of a hurricane - again included in all homes. Construction started in 2007 and at completion this 55 and over community will feature 1,988 homes. Sizes overall range from 1,438 to 2,434 square feet. Residents can choose from 13 two and three-bedroom models.

Area

Mature ocean lovers will find a perfectly refined, active and energizing lifestyle at Riverwood, with an abundance of dining, shopping, and recreation opportunities. A full-time activities director is already on hand to plan parties and trips, and numerous clubs and committees exist, always on the lookout for new members. Golf, jewelry making, Wii bowling, and poker are some examples of the growing clubs available.

History lovers will enjoy day trips to historic St. Augustine and Fernandina, both of which are only 30 minutes away from Riverwood. For NASCAR enthusiasts, Daytona is only an hour away by car.
