Alegria in Bernalillo, New Mexico is perched on the banks of the Rio Grande just north of Albuquerque and less than 40 miles from Santa Fe. Alegria was started in 2006 by Centex Homes. In 2009, Centex was acquired by Pulte Homes and Del Webb. All remaining homes will be built under the popular Del Webb active adult brand. Home buyers in Alegria can select from nine new construction single family floor plans that range in size from 1,403 to 2,325 square feet. These single-level homes feature 2-car garages and 2 bedrooms. Plus, some of the homes feature an additional den or office, front porch and covered patio. Additionally, there are several pre-owned resale homes for sale in Alegria.

Centex, the original builder of Alegria, designed the homes with open layouts and minimal walls to maximize space and create bright, spacious interiors. After Centex was acquired by Pulte Homes in 2009, Del Webb (the 55+ active adult division of Pulte Homes) will complete the remainder of Alegria. In 2010 Del Webb is expected to unveil some of their award winning single family homes into the lineup of available models in Alegria.
