Green Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR) is the organization serving the leisure and social needs of the age-restricted households in Green Valley. Over a dozen subdivisions combine to form the collective GVR association. Unlike most retirement communities that restrict residents to the amenities and social activity found within their particular neighborhood, GVR amenities and clubhouses are open to all members regardless of which community or subdivision Green Valley Recreation residents call home. This unique concept provides residents with a more robust, well-rounded community.
Green Valley Recreation Amenities
Being a member of Green Valley Recreation provides limitless access to the social and leisure activities offered in the valley. With a small annual fee, members have access to 13 recreation centers that include amenities such as fitness centers, hobby and craft areas, aerobics and dance studios, woodworking shops, and multipurpose meeting rooms.
Outside, the grounds of Green Valley Recreation are an active adult playground adorned with 13 swimming pools, scenic lakes, miles of walking and biking trails and tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, shuffleboard and basketball courts.
Green Valley Recreation golfers will find a variety of exciting and challenging courses in Green Valley including eight championship golf courses and a number of courses in the surrounding area. Both novices and experts will find a course to match their style in Green Valley.
