About Winterhaven

Winterhaven is a gated 55+ community in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Situated around a golf course and with access to two private community clubhouses, Winterhaven offers everything you d expect from resort-style living in Southern Arizona.

Conveniently located in Sierra Vista, Winterhaven is close to a shopping mall, restaurants, and Fort Huachuca. Located an hour from Tucson, residents enjoy easy access to cultural attractions, natural parks, and world-class entertainment.

Winterhaven Amenities

There are two clubhouses located within the gates of Winterhaven, each complete with an outdoor pool. Both clubhouses are available exclusively to Winterhaven's homeowners and their guests. Residents stay active throughout the year with an exercise room, card room, and two bocce ball and shuffleboard courts. Residents can use the outdoor grill and patio area to host neighborhood barbeques.

Winterhaven is the only 55+ community in Sierra Vista that is situated around a golf course. Pueblo Del Sol Country Club and Golf Course offers a variety of memberships to its semi-private club. Golf enthusiasts will love playing at the 18-hole championship golf course complete with a pro shop. Active adults who enjoy more of a social scene will enjoy attending parties at the clubhouse banquet hall. Members also have access to casual dining, a heated pool, and two tennis courts.

Winterhaven Homes & Real Estate

Castle & Cooke began development of Winterhaven in 1998 and in 2012 this active adult community was completed with 630 single-family homes. There are a variety of resale homes available from 1,200 to 3,000 square feet. These low-maintenance homes offer two to three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and an attached garage.

Winterhaven is located northwest of Buffalo Solider Trail and Saint Andrews Drive in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The Fort Huachuca Historical Museum and US Army Military Intelligence Museum are great attractions nearby. Wildlife observation, hiking, camping, riding, and countless other outdoor activities are found in Sierra Vista at San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area, Coronado National Forest, Ramsey Canyon Preserve, Little Family Farm, and more.

Tucson International Airport is about an hour s drive away from Winterhaven. With Mexico just a quick drive south, day trips to Nogales are popular for shopping for unique jewelry, pottery, and furniture. Winterhaven is a wonderful 55+ community with great amenities, affordable homes, and a convenient location in Southern Arizona.
