HHHunt Homes plans to develop a 520-home active adult community on 208 acres off Tuckahoe Creek Parkway near the Capital One Financial Corporation’s West Creek campus. This will be HHHunt’s first community in Goochland County, VA.
In addition to the homes, the developer also plans to offer amenities within the age-restricted community. Proposed amenities include a 5,000 square-foot clubhouse, outdoor entertaining areas, swimming pool, walking and biking trails, and open green spaces.
The new active adult community, which will require at least one resident to be over the age of 55, will host about 340 single-family homes and 180 townhomes with first-floor master suites. The single-family homes would offer approximately 2,000 square feet of living space. Floor plans and pricing have yet to be released. HHHunt is currently seeking rezoning approval to move forward with the project.
In the meantime, the developer is working with Youngblood, Tyler & Associates, a Mechanicsville - based engineering and surveying company. The developer is also in the process of selecting homebuilders for the community.
Construction of this new proposed 55+ community could start as early as 2018 if all zoning applications are approved and finalized in a timely fashion. The community is expected to take eight years to complete.
