In the latest edition of their annual survey about baby boomer travel trends, AARP found that boomers planned on taking four or five leisure trips in 2018, with a healthy split between domestic and international travel plans. While 66 percent of them plan on traveling within the U.S. by plan, 60 percent also plan on taking a road trip in their car. Unlike previous years, they also found that more boomers were looking to upcoming vacations as a chance to relax and rejuvenate as well as to get away from everyday life.

This lines up pretty well with 55 Places’ own 2018 user survey, which showed 70 percent of readers planned to spend most of their money during retirement on travel and vacations, a far higher percentage than any other option.

We heard you loud and clear. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to Travel Week!
