Blue sky over a beach in Delray Beach, Florida

Avalon Trails is hosting a grand opening event on March 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, Avalon Trails, the newest 55+ community in Delray Beach, Florida, will host its grand opening. This event will include tours of designer-decorated model homes, a preview of the amenities and lifestyle features, and plenty of food, entertainment, and fun.

At the grand opening, guests and potential residents will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from 13th Floor Homes, the community’s local developers, and discuss customization options, financing, and move-in timelines.

Prices for the new construction attached homes at Avalon Trails will start in the mid $300s. Sales have already started, and some of the first residents will be ready to move into their new homes soon.

Delray Beach Homes for Sale at Avalon Trails

Low-maintenance living is available in the spacious attached villas at Avalon Trails. Only 217 homes will be built, and they'll be available in eight unique models. Homes range from 1,328 to 1,600 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached one-car garage. Many floor plans include an additional room, which can be used as a den, a home office, or even another bedroom.

Windows and doors are designed with hurricane-impact technology, and upgrades like porcelain tiles, granite countertops, brick-paved driveways, and designer kitchens will be available for viewing during the home tours at the grand opening. Wood cabinets and energy-efficient Whirlpool appliances will also be on display for homebuyers who want the same details included in their own homes.

Buyers who find a model they love will have the opportunity to meet with a team of certified and experienced interior designers to customize their homes with a variety of personal selections. Homebuyers can upgrade their counters and cabinets, ask for built-ins to be included in the closets, and request wood flooring.

Avalon Trails Lifestyle and Amenities

Construction isn’t quite finished on the amenities that are planned for Avalon Trails, but visitors at the grand opening event will be treated to a sneak peek. They’ll see plans for The Club at Avalon Trails, where there will be multipurpose rooms as well as a fitness center, an arts and crafts studio, a card room, a movie theater, and a cafe for a quick snack or a leisurely coffee with neighbors and friends.

A resort-style pool, a lap pool, and an outdoor patio will be available to swimmers and sunbathers, and residents can enjoy the fitness-friendly outdoor amenities, which include two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, and lots of scenic trails and paths. A community garden is also planned, which will give residents the opportunity to grow their own herbs, vegetables, and flowers.

A full-time lifestyle director will be on hand once residents start moving in to help with the planning and organization of clubs, activities, and social events.

Active Adult Living in Delray Beach, FL

Delray Beach is in Palm Beach County, one of the most interesting parts of Florida’s southeastern coast. There’s plenty of golfing, shopping, and fine dining available within minutes of where Avalon Trails is under construction. Beaches are just on the other side of Interstate 95, and cities like West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale are about half an hour away.

Downtown Delray Beach has become a haven for artists and craftspeople. East Atlantic Avenue has a number of small, modern boutiques as well as galleries, souvenir shops, bistros, and cafes. There’s also the Silverball Museum with classic pinball machines and old-school arcade games available for visitors to play. There’s also a snack bar with a soda fountain and plenty of ice cream.
