Bellwether by Del Webb Plans to Expand

Bellwether by Del Webb will soon have new homes for sale. 

Bellwether by Del Webb is located just 30 minutes outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota in Corcoran. This setting provides residents with a connected community and plenty of indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining low-maintenance living in a 55+ community. Del Webb  broke ground on Bellwether back in 2018, and the original plans called for 398 single-family homes and a welcoming, 8,000 square foot clubhouse. But recently, Del Webb’s parent company, Pulte, announced that they are planning to expand the property with more new residences. 

Pulte plans to add  99 villa homes and 76 single-families at the Bellwether site. If you’ve been looking for homes for sale near Minneapolis, you’ll have plenty of floor plans to choose from. There will be two phases of development, with the first starting this year. Plans also call for a nine-acre park for residents to enjoy at their leisure. Keep reading to find out all the details.

  The new homes at Bellwether by Del Webb will offer the same designs as the original development, and are priced from the low $300s to the mid $400s. There are more than a dozen floor plans, grouped into the Garden, Classic and Estate Series collections.

The five Garden Series models range from 1,222 to 1,498 square feet, with one to four bedrooms, one-and-a-half to three bathrooms, and attached two-car garages. There are four Classic Series models sized from 1,683 to 1,953 square feet with with two to four bedrooms, two to three baths and two- to three-car garages. The four Estate Series floor plans are similar in size to the Classic models, but have standard three-car garages. These homes also offer features like basements, patios, and gourmet kitchens.

Bellwether’s Prairie Club amenity center is available to Bellwether residents, and will have a state-of-the-art fitness center with locker rooms, a catering kitchen, and multipurpose rooms for club meeting and community events. Some of the most popular activities at Bellwether include holiday parties, swimming, and arts and crafts. 

Outdoor perks include a sparkling swimming pool as well as pickleball, tennis, and bocce ball courts. The community is also home to several walking trails. As the community continues to grow, there is sure to be additional year-round organized events. To encourage social and active lifestyles, there will be a full-time lifestyle director on the premises to create, organize, and maintain a full calendar of activities. 

One of the best parts about living in a 55+ community like Bellwether is not having to waste time mowing your lawn or shoveling snow. That’s because the homeowners’ association fees provide for these so you can spend more time relaxing. These fees also provide for exterior home maintenance and common area maintenance.

Living in Corcoran, MN

Retirees understand the importance of being close to life’s necessities, and Bellwether is less than 10 minutes from a Walmart, Target, ALDI and Whole Foods. The closest hospitals are Maple Grove and Mercy Hospital, plus there are additional medical organizations in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is also only about 40 minutes away, depending on traffic. 

If you are a golfer, the Rush Creek Golf Club and Shamrock Golf Course are both nearby. Nature lovers can enjoy the Crow-Hassan Park Reserve, an outdoor recreation area that offers a dog walk, trails, a nature center, archery, and more golf courses. Downtown Minneapolis has countless attractions like theaters, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, restaurants and shops.
