While Pennsylvania can be scenic in the winter, there are plenty of places to live just for the summer.

Scenic landscapes, metropolitan areas and an affordable cost of living attract many active adults to Pennsylvania. It can be seasonally cold during the winter months though, and this is when snowbirds prepare to migrate south.

Having two homes is not as scary as you might think as long as you keep in mind a few important things. That includes finding affordable, low-maintenance homes a short distance away from transportation options.

There are plenty of airports in Pennsylvania, but three of the largest are Harrisburg International Airport, PHL Philadelphia International Airport, and Pittsburgh International Airport. Each of these areas has plenty of 55+ communities to choose from if you're looking to spend your winters somewhere a little warmer.
