More than 20,000 people in just the last year have moved to Shea Homes' Trilogy active lifestyle resort communities since the brand was launched in 1999. Now, with 16 different resorts in seven states, Trilogy is one of the top builders of active lifestyle communities in the country, with the accolades to back up the company's reputation.
But what makes the Trilogy brand so special? Shea Homes prides itself on creating communities for "people who want to enrich their lives, nourish their souls, feel great and have fun." Those who have reached their active adult years have found they've been able to do all that and more when they choose to live in a Trilogy neighborhood.
The Trilogy brand features beautiful, thoughtfully designed homes (some even with solar power), extra-large state-of-the-art clubhouses that offer numerous outside-the-box amenities, and quiet, gated communities that are still within close proximity to major highways and cities.
Trilogy has locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington. All have been designed with Shea's commitment and passion for the active lifestyle brand, but each has its own unique style.
The highlight of Trilogy at Rio Vista in California, for example, is the nationally recognized 18-hole championship golf course on site. In Peoria, Arizona, Trilogy at Vistancia is an age-restricted community in the 7,100-acre Vistancia master-planned community. With its all-encompassing design, schools, shopping and recreational opportunities, Vistancia was named the best master-planned community in the country in 2005 by the National Association of Home Builders.
While Shea Homes has built many of these communities from the ground up, some are continuations of previous construction. Trilogy Orlando in Groveland, Florida, began construction in 2005. At that time Levitt & Sons completed 238 homes. In 2010, Shea acquired the community, and when it is completed, a total of 1,499 homes will grace the 55+ neighborhood.
Similarly, homes located in Trilogy at Rice Ranch in Orcutt, California, were originally built by Woodlands LLC starting in 2010; Shea took on operations in 2013 and will add new homes and a clubhouse. Shea Homes is continuing to expand as well.
In Washington State, Trilogy at Tehaleh in Bonney Lake is the first-ever active adult community in Pierce County. Trilogy at Lake Frederick, on 900 acres, near the Blue Ridge Mountains, is Shea's first community in Virginia. With such an impressive catalog of designs and innovative features, it's easy to see why the family-owned Shea Homes has been recognized again and again.
For the third year in a row, Trilogy has been ranked the "No. 1 Most Trusted Resort Community" in the Lifestory Research Most Trusted Builders in America Study. Active adults who are seeking a new destination and lifestyle for their 55+ years will find it in any one of the communities by Shea Homes.
