Levitt & Sons built the community between 2000 and 2006. Resale homes are available from the low $200s to the high $300s. A dozen floor plans are available, ranging in size from 1,257 square feet to 2,473 square feet. These one-story homes have open floor plans, spacious kitchens, and large master suites. A resort-style pool is inviting year-round and comes with a pool bar, verandas, and a fire pit.


Port St. Lucie is often rated as one of the safest places to live, and residents living in Cascades at St. Lucie West enjoy a lot of shopping, recreational, and cultural activities within the city. The New York Mets play their spring training baseball at First Data Field, and there’s a PGA golf course in the area as well. Residents can take a class at Florida Atlantic University and visit hummingbirds, butterflies, and native plants at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens. Fans of wine and craft beer can sip their favorite drinks at Vine & Barley. Boat tours and fishing charters are available within 20 or 30 minutes of Cascades at St. Lucie West.

Within minutes, residents can find movie theaters, restaurants, shopping opportunities, a post office, and several churches and places of worship. The Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, St. Lucie Medical Center, and Martin Memorial Health Systems are nearby and offer routine as well as emergency care.
