The New York Mets play their spring training baseball at First Data Field, and there’s a PGA golf course in the area as well. Residents can take a class at Florida Atlantic University and visit hummingbirds, butterflies, and native plants at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens. Fans of wine and craft beer can sip their favorite drinks at Vine & Barley. Boat tours and fishing charters are available within 20 or 30 minutes of Cascades at St. Lucie West.

Within minutes, residents can find movie theaters, restaurants, shopping opportunities, a post office, and several churches and places of worship. The Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, St. Lucie Medical Center, and Martin Memorial Health Systems are nearby and offer routine as well as emergency care.
