Baby boomers looking for an age-restricted community in Coastal North Carolina can finally stop searching because Del Webb Wilmington is opening this year. Del Webb Wilmington will be the newest active adult neighborhood coming to the RiverLights master-planned development in Wilmington, North Carolina. It will also be Del Webb’s first 55+ community in this area and will provide all of the home designs, activities, and amenities that retirees want or need in a social setting. 

Del Webb Wilmington will enjoy a prime location near daily necessities as well as great attractions and outdoor recreational areas like Cape Fear River, Masonboro Island Reserve, and Carolina Beach State Park. Del Webb Wilmington is sure to be the ideal retirement destination that offers the best of North Carolina living. Del Webb Wilmington is expected to grand open in October of this year, which means active adult buyers will get a chance to view the quality craftsmanship that Del Webb brings to its innovative home designs.

Residences 

This 55+ community will consist of 547 single-family homes upon completion and buyers will have three design collections to choose from: Passport, Expedition, and Pinnacle series. There are three floor plans in the Passport Series that range in size from 1,262 to 1,424 square feet and have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. These homes start in the low $200s and feature open layouts, spacious dining rooms, inviting gathering areas, large laundry rooms, luxurious master suites, and private patios.

Single-family homes in the Expedition Series offer 1,656 to 1,961 square feet and have two bedrooms, dens, two bathrooms, and an attached two or two-and-a-half-car garage. Pricing for these four floor plans starts in the high $200s and features flex spaces near kitchens, optional lofts, and walk-in closets in master suites.

Active adult homebuyers who want more space can choose from the four unique models found in the Pinnacle Series. These detached residences range in size from 2,411 to 2,565 square feet and have two or three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and an attached two or two-and-a-half-car garage. Prices for these homes start in the low $300s and feature elegant master suites, gourmet kitchens, large dining and living areas, plenty of storage space, and open floor plans.

Amenities

In addition to these attractive, low-maintenance single-family home designs, residents will have a 15,000 square-foot clubhouse at the center of this exciting active adult community. Proposed amenities include a multi-purpose room, state-of-the-art fitness center, and indoor pool, which will allow for retirees to stay healthy and active any day of the week.

Outdoor amenities will also provide a stimulating atmosphere for retirees with a resort-style swimming pool, spacious patio, and an event lawn. Multiple sports courts will be onsite for bocce, pickleball, and tennis. Spending time outdoors on a sunny day will be easy for baby boomers with all of the walking and biking trails planned for Del Webb Wilmington.
