Community Spotlight: Spruce Creek Country Club in Summerfield, FL

Central Florida is one of the best places to live thanks to the incredible climate, the affordable cost of living, and the lack of beach-going coastal crowds. There are beautiful natural parks, forests, and preserves, as well as world-championship golf courses, excellent restaurants, and bountiful shopping options.

In Summerfield, which is less than half an hour south of Ocala, active adults can find everything they need to enjoy life, whether they’re settling into retirement or starting a new life chapter. Spruce Creek Country Club is a popular community for the 55+ crowd, thanks to its lush golf course, incredible amenities, and comfortable floor plans. This Del Webb community offers 3,250 single-family homes in lovely Marion County Florida.

Floor Plans

Del Webb didn’t buy the Spruce Creek Country Club property until 1998. Before that, it was developed by Monarch Properties and Spruce Creek Development Company. Del Webb made an immediate mark by buying up adjacent land and making improvements to the clubhouses. They also added to the lot sizes and introduced new amenities.

Today, buyers have several diverse home models as options. The Forest Collection offers the smallest homes for buyers interested in low-maintenance living. The properties are sized from 820 square feet to 1,968 square feet and have two or three bedrooms. These are priced from the mid $100s to the low $200s.

On the larger end, the Atlantic Estates collection has the community’s largest homes. The Charleston offers 2,793 square feet of living space and a two-and-a-half car-garage – for two cars and a golf cart. Prices for these homes are in the $300s and $400s. In addition to these two collections, buyers can find plenty of affordable options in different sizes to fit any lifestyle or budget.
