The Resort will feature a recreation center, heated pool, and several sport courts.

Since construction began on Del Webb Charleston at Nexton in 2017, anticipation has been high for the 55+ neighborhood nestled within the 4,500-acre master-planned Nexton community. Now, construction of the community’s epicenter is underway.

“Grand Scale Heart and Soul”

The “grand scale heart and soul” of the community, as it’s been described, recently broke ground and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2019. Of course, we’re talking about the 25,000 square-foot clubhouse called The Resort. Not only will it include an indoor recreation center with a heated pool and spa, but it will also offer an upscale fitness center and an exercise studio for yoga, Tai Chi, and aerobics.

For the community itself, plans call for ten single-family home designs spanning from 1,200 to 3,800 square feet with two to five bedrooms and two to four bathrooms. Prices will range from the $200s to mid $300s.

According to The Post & Courier, Del Webb Charleston at Nexton’s general sales manager Ann Taylor says they “are seeing a high level of interest in this community and sales have been extremely brisk.”

Other Amenities to Expect

Other amenities to look forward to include tennis and bocce ball courts, a fire pit and an event lawn. A variety of clubs, events and activities will be offered once construction is complete and homeowners will be able to join social clubs and special interest groups. The community will also host seminars and a guest speaker series for continuing learning, as well as the opportunity for group travel to different parts of the world through the Road Scholar program.

Surrounded by Beauty and Convenience

Del Webb Charleston at Nexton will be surrounded by 2,000 acres of lush, open green spaces with 50 miles of walking and biking trails to encourage residents to get outside and be active.

Located in Summerville, the community provides easy access to Interstate 26 and Highway 17 and is just a few minutes away from a Walmart Supercenter, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target and other shopping and dining experiences.

Downtown Charleston is only 25 miles away so residents can visit places such as The South Carolina Aquarium, Fort Sumter, and Mt. Pleasant Memorial Park. Trident Health Systems, Roper Hospital, the VA Hospital of Charleston, and other medical facilities are nearby.

Once construction is completed in 2019, Del Webb Charleston at Nexton will offer more than 1,000 homes for active adult residents to live life to the fullest.
