Cresswind at Lake Lanier is currently sold out, meaning all future home sales will be resale.

All of the 934 single-family homes situated in Cresswind at Lake Lanier, a gated and age-restricted community, have been sold. Located in Gainesville, Georgia, the popular development has grown tremendously since its first homes were built by Levitt & Sons in 2007. The original builder only built a small portion of the community before Kolter Homes later took over construction and completed the neighborhood in 2020.

Living at Cresswind at Lake Lanier

Upon final completion, Cresswind at Lake Lanier boasts a three-story clubhouse, a long list of amenities that includes everything from a state-of-the-art fitness center to a 70-slip marina and private dock, plus a vast selection of social clubs. The community features more than two dozen floor plans that range from 1,275 to 2,964 square feet. The single-level, ranch-style homes offer two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and two-car garages. Many of the plans also include a den area. Price points for the gated community average around the mid $300s. With so much to offer residents, it’s no wonder Cresswind at Lake Lanier has reached its capacity.

An Alternative Nearby Community

Although it’s currently sold out, there’s always a chance that homes will be put up for resale—and for those buyers who don’t have the option to wait for a home to go on the market, there are other active adult communities in the area to consider, including one of Kolter Homes’s newest developments, Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes. The brand new community is located in nearby Hoschton, Georgia, which is only a 25-minute drive from Cresswind at Lake Lanier.

The development will feature a total of 1,300 single-family homes once it’s completed. It’s both gated and age-restricted, and like its sister property, it offers residents a myriad of housing options with 15 distinct floor plans available. Homes within the new neighborhood will range from 1,397 to 2,815 square feet and have two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and two- or three-car garages. Homeowners will also have access to an impressive list of amenities that range from a clubhouse and fitness center to an on-site bar and indoor pool.
