PGA Village Verano will be seeing golf course upgrades as the Cresswind 55+ community continues brisk sales.

Active adults looking for a premier 55+ community with a focus on golf and pickleball now have a couple more reasons to consider Cresswind at PGA Village Verano in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Kolter Homes is making some improvements to the master-planned community of PGA Village Verano, which is not age-restricted but friendly to active adults.

The upgrades include golf course renovations and the construction of what will be South Florida’s largest private pickleball facility.

PGA Golf Club Renovations

Over the last two years, renovations have been underway at the three championship golf courses at PGA Golf Club. On the Wanamaker Course, a better drainage system was installed, and the 18 holes now have renovated bunkers. The Dye Course was showing some wear due to heavy cart traffic, and now there’s an improved and more efficient flow of traffic for everyone.

The Ryder Course was recently re-opened after major renovations took place to enhance the greens and the overall playing experience. All three courses were designed by legends Tom Fazio and Pete Dye.

There’s more to do than play a round of golf in the year-round Florida sun. There’s also the PGA Learning Center, a leading instruction facility. Over the 35 acres, students at every level can practice their game with private instructors, take advantage of the latest technology in clubs and equipment, and put in a few hours at the driving range or on the putting green.

The recently completed renovation plans are meant to increase the satisfaction of residents and players, as well to prepare for 2021, when PGA Golf Club will host the PGA Professional Championship.

PGA Village Verano Pickleball Center

Upon completion, PGA Village Verano's pickleball facility will be one of the biggest in the U.S.

Pickleball is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways to get some exercise and stay competitive, and active adults in Cresswind at PGA Verano can expect more than enough pickleball space at the PGA Village Verano community.

Ground has broken on the Pickleball Center, which is scheduled to have 27 pickleball courts, including a tournament-friendly center court. Spectator seating, an event lawn, a pavilion area, and multiple places to watch matches will also be built. The Pickleball Center is slated to open in the late summer.
