Del Webb’s newest active adult community in Braselton, Georgia could potentially be expanding its property lines. Del Webb at Chateau Elan, which is currently being developed next to the Chateau Elan resort, may get an additional 35 acres of land to its already approved 385 acres.
Development Strategy
The 35 acres are situated at Thompson Mill Road and Grand Reunion Drive and was previously used as the main entrance to the Reunion Country Club in South Hall. Del Webb developers are trying to get these acres added to this new active adult community, which could possibly lead to more land for recreational activities or for building additional homes. Developers are asking town representatives for permission to annex and rezone that section of property so it can become part of Del Webb at Chateau Elan this fall.
A public hearing is scheduled before the Braselton Planning Commission, Braselton’s mayor, and city council in October. According to Nate Van Epp, Pulte vice president for land planning, the builder plans to start construction of Del Webb at Chateau Elan this fall and home sales starting in summer of 2017.
Residences at Chateau Elan
Although floor plans are still being finalized, buyers can rest assured knowing that these home designs will offer the latest in quality, energy-efficient construction as well as superior interior finishes, spacious layouts, gourmet kitchens, inviting living areas, and low-maintenance exteriors.
Active adult homebuyers will be able to select from a great lineup of beautiful models that Del Webb is known to offer. This age-restricted community will consist of 730 single-family homes upon completion and prices start in the mid $200s to mid $400s.
Amenities
Active adults will also love the proposed resort-style amenities that will keep them physically fit and socially engaged. Del Webb at Chateau Elan will feature a 20,000 square-foot clubhouse that will have an indoor heated lap pool, fitness center, ballroom, library, arts and crafts studio, and multi-purpose room.
Outdoor amenities will also be provided so residents can enjoy the perfect Northern Georgia climate. Plans include an outdoor pool and patio as well as tennis, pickleball, and bocce ball courts. A full-time lifestyle director will also be available onsite to help organize and develop a calendar of events and activities that will keep residents active and entertained within a welcoming and vibrant setting.
Whether or not Del Webb at Chateau Elan gets the additional 35 acres of land, this active adult community is sure to attract Baby Boomers from across the country. With Del Webb’s popular home designs and world-class amenities, retirees will find everything they are looking for in this new construction 55+ community in the Atlanta area.
