In the summer of 2019, Del Webb announced plans for Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas, and excitement has been growing about the company’s first new community in the Las Vegas area in ten years. On Feb. 8, Del Webb will host a grand opening and open house to celebrate the new community.
The community is now selling homes in the first phase of its development. When complete, Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas will have just over 450 single-family homes. The community is offering nine home designs that range from about 1,600 square feet to 2,700 square feet with two to four bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half baths. All of the models include open floor plans, perfect for entertaining, as well as outdoor spaces.
Del Webb communities remain popular because homebuyers can easily customize their new homes. Floorplans can be altered to have more living space or more bedrooms and features like countertops and cabinets can be specially selected, allowing homeowners to create spaces that are meaningful to them. Homes start in the low $400s, and models are currently available for tours.
Active adults interested in purchasing a home can schedule a tour today.
An Active Adult Neighborhood in a Walkable Community
In addition to homes designed specifically with the active adult homeowner in mind, Del Webb develops resort-style amenities that encourage community and learning. The community will include a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse where residents can meet for classes, groups, or special events. Residents can stay active at the recreation center, in the outdoor pool, on the tennis and pickleball courts, or in the dance and aerobics studio.
However, as part of the Lake Las Vegas planned community, residents don’t need to wait for Del Webb’s clubhouse and amenities to open to stay active and engaged. The community includes two golf courses, resort hotels, a retail village, and a sports club, in addition to the expansive Lake Las Vegas. Located in Henderson, Lake Las Vegas also provides easy access to the city while offering the peace and quiet of the surrounding Nevada landscapes.
Building on Past Success
In 2019, Del Webb announced that they would be building two new communities in the Las Vegas area. Del Webb also created the popular Sun City communities, including Sun City Summerlin, Sun City Anthem, and Sun City Aliante.
Del Webb started building homes in the Las Vegas area in 1989 at Sun City Summerlin, and it has since built tens of thousands of homes in the area. Over the past 30 years, the company has gained national attention for their home designs and active lifestyle offerings. Experts predict a strong market for housing in Las Vegas in 2020, which is an area already well-suited for retirees and active adults. Nevada has no state income tax, the weather is mild year-round, and Las Vegas is home to world-class amenities.
