Just 25 miles northwest of historic Charleston, South Carolina, active adults can enjoy resort-style living at Del Webb Charleston. This impressive community sits on 360 acres of beautiful grounds featuring swimming, tennis, pickleball and more. The spacious clubhouse also provides plenty of space for socializing and pursuing a wide range of interests.

Del Webb Charleston was opened in 2007, by Del Webb, with plans for approximately 1,000 single-family homes. These homes feature elegant designs and inviting front porches, as well as floor plans specifically designed for active adult homebuyers.

Some have separate dens and most have inviting front porches. While many homes have optional second-story lofts, every home has a first-floor master bedroom suite for main level living.


At the heart of the community, The Resort at Del Webb Charleston provides all the amenities and activities needed to support a healthy lifestyle. Amenities at this 20,000 square-foot facility begin with a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, an aerobics and dance studio, and an indoor lap pool.

There’s also an arts and crafts studio where residents can exercise their creativity and a spacious ballroom for a variety of community events. The clubhouse has plenty of space for social clubs and special-interest groups as well. These activities include diverse topics such as astronomy, book discussion, card games, dining out, fishing, history discussion, golf, photography, softball, and writing.

Outdoors, residents can gather around the firepit on the sundeck or cool off at the resort-style swimming pool. Sports courts also allow for friendly competition. There are four tennis courts, two pickleball courts, four bocce ball courts and horseshoe pits. The grounds also include an event lawn, a dog park and a fishing lake, as well as walking and biking trails and scenic parks.

Beyond its on-site amenities, Del Webb Charleston offers a prime location that puts residents within easy access of shops, restaurants and other attractions. Residents are within 30 minutes of the beach, Francis Marion National Forest and historic downtown Charleston.
