Sun City

Mid $100s – Mid $300s

The widely popular Del Webb Sun City communities are sprawling, resort-like 55+ communities that are always in high demand, and Sun City in Menifee is no exception. This Sun City location was the first of its kind, built from 1962 to 1981, with 4,762 residences and a staggering number of amenities, activities, and clubs.

In the community, there are three clubhouses where residents gather, host parties, socialize, and stay active. A fitness center, a woodworking shop, a ceramics studio, a card room, a billiards room, table tennis, and indoor shuffleboard courts are also available for residents and their guests to enjoy. Outside, community members make use of two outdoor pools, a barbecue area, an outdoor amphitheater, horseshoe pits, a lawn bowling green, and bocce ball and tennis courts. There are also over 40 active clubs and teams at Sun City, such as the book club, jewelry making club, travel club, and tennis club.

Sun City offers homebuyers a wide range of prices, styles, and sizes to choose from. Attached homes offer one to two bedrooms, one to two bathrooms and a garage or carport. Single-family homes feature two to three bedrooms, one to two bathrooms, and a garage or carport. 

The Oasis

Mid $300s – Low $500s

This mid-sized, gated 55+ community stays true to its name, with lush grounds just an hour’s drive from the ocean and the desert. The Oasis features single-family homes built from 1999 to 2005 in a range of floor plans and sizes.

Resale homes at Menifee offer 18 single-family ranch floor plans and range in size from 1,295 to 2,455 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half bathrooms. Many homes feature upgraded finishes such as granite countertops and hardwood flooring.

Amenities at The Oasis center around the massive 22,500-square-foot clubhouse and outdoor recreation area, where residents enjoy access to a fitness center, outdoor pool and spa, and outdoor amphitheater. Community members also enjoy the grand ballroom; the arts and crafts studio; the outdoor tennis, bocce ball, and shuffleboard courts; and the indoor billiard room and library. Golf enthusiasts will also appreciate the close proximity to the adjacent 36-hole Menifee Lakes Country Club, which features 36-acres of stunning landscape and courses.

The Retreat at Holiday

Low $300s – Mid $300s

As the smallest Menifee 55+ community on this list, The Retreat at Holiday offers intimacy, newness, and privacy, with a gated entrance and only 108 single-family homes. With brand new homes available for purchase, this community, which started construction in 2006, boasts mid-sized, affordable homes with all of the new upgrades active adults could wish for.

Floor plans at The Retreat at Holiday range from 1,665 to 2,028 square feet with two bedrooms, two or two-and-a-half bathrooms, and a two-car garage. These new homes boast modern chef’s kitchens, single-level living, shaded patios, and privacy fences.

The tight-knit community at The Retreat enjoys a variety of modern amenities and social clubs, including a large clubhouse, catering kitchen, fitness room, and outdoor lap pool with separate hot tub. There’s also a game and hobby room, table tennis, and a billiards room for community members to use.

Orchard at Pacific Mayfield

High $200s – Low $300s 

Orchard at Pacific Mayfield is another smaller, gated 55+ community in Menifee, with both new and resale homes for sale. This active adult neighborhood of low-maintenance, single-family homes offers new amenities and scenic views, along with new home features such as energy-efficient designs and oversized master bedrooms.

The planned 156 single-family homes at Orchard at Pacific Mayfield range in size from 1,514 to 2,398 square feet with one to three bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. These low-maintenance homes come in eight floor plans, with yards featuring automatic sprinklers, fire-resistant concrete tile roofs, and gourmet kitchens.

At the clubhouse, homeowners can mingle and socialize in the multi-purpose room or exercise in the fitness center. Outdoor amenities include a sparkling pool and outdoor patio, as well as a tennis court and barbecue area.

The Club

High $200s – Mid $300s

This gated community comprised of 259 resale single-family homes is a popular choice among active adults, for its smaller, private setting and close proximity to many dining and shopping destinations.

The Club features resale homes built from 1994 to 2000 with two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Homes in this 55+ community boast plenty of natural light, spacious floor plans, and large master suites.
