Eastern Shore Communities If You Can’t Wait for Four Seasons at Kent Island

interested Four Seasons at Kent Island? These 55+ communities are good options if you can\'t stand the wait.

In 2018, K. Hovnanian announced construction on Four Seasons at Kent Island, a community of 172 single-family and condominium homes. For those who can’t wait for it to open, here are three established communities on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Bay Bridge Cove – Stevensville

Mid $300s – Mid $400s

Bay Bridge Cove is a great alternative to Four Seasons. The community is also located on Kent Island, with easy access to Annapolis, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. Like Four Seasons, Bay Bridge cove offers only new homes, ranging from two to three bedrooms and 1,419 to 1,707 square feet.

Kent Island offers restaurants, nightlife, shopping, biking, and boating, and residents can also enjoy time at the outdoor pool, tennis courts, and natural areas within the community.

Symphony Village – Centreville

High $200s – Mid $500s

Symphony Village is an established community of almost 400 single-family homes located near Easton, just across the Bay Bridge. Even though Symphony Village is small to mid-sized, the amenities resemble that of a larger community. Residents can stay active at the dance studio, indoor pool, outdoor pool, fitness center, tennis courts, or on trails around the neighborhood.

The Symphony Club includes multiple rooms for socializing, eating and drinking, and meeting with fellow residents. Residents say they love the community feel and planned events that happen throughout the year.

Chesapeake – Easton

Low $300s – High $300s

Also located not far from the Bay Bridge, Chesapeake in Easton is a mid-sized community of 452 homes. Del Webb completed construction in 2011, and homes are now offered for resale. Del Webb designed the single-family homes for active adults, and while they range from 1,800 to 2,800 square feet, all homes include a first-floor master suite, two-car garage, and easy maintenance.

The nearby towns of Easton, Cambridge, and St. Michaels all boast good restaurants, quaint main street districts, and fun shopping. In the community, residents can enjoy spending time at amenities like walking trails, the putting green, the tennis courts, or in the pool. The Easton Club East Clubhouse includes a fitness center, game rooms, and activity spaces for an active lifestyle.
