Cascading waterfalls and mature oaks invite active adults to explore the beauty of Hill Country Retreat. Set in San Antonio, Texas, this impressive community features thoughtfully designed single-family homes and an exciting line-up of resort-style amenities. It is an ideal destination for active adults who long for luxury living.

Del Webb opened Hill Country Retreat in 2006 with plans to create an appealing community for active adults aged 55 or better. Development has included an amenity-rich clubhouse and single-family homes in a number of diverse styles and sizes. In 2013, Village Builders purchased 100 lots, offering homebuyers even more choices. Once the community is complete, it is expected to have a total of approximately 2,090 upscale homes.

At the heart of the community, Hill Country Retreat brings residents together with a 28,000 square-foot clubhouse. This impressive facility, known as The Resort, has plenty of space for social gatherings, special-interest club meetings and community events. The Resort’s multipurpose ballroom is an ideal setting for pot luck dinners, movie nights, Super Bowl parties and other community events. The clubhouse lobby also offers a fireside lounge for more casual get-togethers.

The clubhouse lobby at Hill Country Retreat welcomes residents to gather, socialize and have fun.

Hobby and game rooms in The Resort support a wide range of interests. The cards and billiards rooms offer friendly competition, while the arts and crafts studio lets residents express their creativity. There is also a clubhouse library which hosts a book club, history club and current events club.

Hill Country Retreat also makes it easy for residents to stay in shape. The Resort offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, an aerobics and dance studio, an indoor lap pool and an indoor walking track. Outdoors, residents can also swim in the resort-style pool, play a game of tennis or bocce ball, or make use of the walking and biking trails.

When it comes to homes, Hill Country Retreat features single-family designs created specifically for active adult homebuyers. Del Webb features 12 floor plans, spread across three home collections: the Garden Series, the Classic Series and the Estate Series. These homes meet the needs of many homebuyers with floor plans ranging from 1,109 to over 2,600 square feet.

Additional homes by Village Builders include six floor plans, sized from 2,150 to 2,838 square feet. Like the Del Webb designs, these homes typically include two or three bedrooms, dens, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms and two-car garages. Some Del Webb models also have two-and-a-half- or three-car garages.
