Del Webb Sweetgrass – Richmond

An outdoor pickleball court is just one of the many amenities found in Del Webb Sweetgrass, a 55+ community in Richmond.

Homeowners can enjoy a variety of sports courts, including tennis courts and bocce ball courts. Those who enjoy working out indoors can take advantage of a broad mix of fitness programming that includes yoga, Zumba, and Pilates in the fitness studio.

Started in 2011, Del Webb Sweetgrass will contain 1,500 homes upon completion. Homes range in size from 1,109 to nearly 4,000 square feet. True to Del Webb style, floor plans blend the traditional and comfortable with modern innovation. Premium lots offer water views or greenspace views.

The community is situated on 500 acres and offers pleasant scenery with a natural creek, 50-acre lake, and four miles of walking trails. Residents enjoy express access to Downtown Houston, which is about 30 minutes away.

Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch – Fulshear

It’s easy for pickleball players to pick up a friendly game with neighbors at Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear. This new 55+ community contains pickleball courts as well as courts for bocce, tennis, volleyball, and basketball.

Other amenities include a private 10,000 square-foot clubhouse complete with a fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, and arts and crafts rooms. Residents can also take advantage of unique amenities such as a continuing education center and a massage room. Golfers who want to spend a day on the green can easily head to the nearby Weston Lakes Country Club, which offers an 18-hole, par-72 course.

The single-family homes within Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch range in size from 1,582 to more than 3,000 square feet. Upon completion, the community will contain 700 homes that are designed with spacious master suites, gourmet kitchens, walk-in closets, and covered rear patios.

Some homes also contain living room fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. Active adult homebuyers can choose from three design collections, including the Landmark series, Summit series, and Pinnacle series.

Villas at White Oak Ranch – Conroe

Thanks to a reasonable homeowners’ association fee, residents of Villas at White Oak Ranch in Conroe have more time to play pickleball. The homeowners’ association takes care of exterior home maintenance, community maintenance, and lawn care, allowing homeowners to join in a friendly game on the pickleball court.

Containing just 91 homes, Villas at White Oak Ranch maintains a small-town feel, complete with scenic ponds, a gazebo, and walking trails.

Active adult homebuyers can choose from six distinct floor plans that range in size from 1,654 to 2,513 square feet. All low-maintenance homes are designed with all-masonry or stucco exteriors and feature first-floor master suites, 9-foot ceilings, and private outdoor areas.

Bonterra at Woodforest – Montgomery

Pickleball enthusiasts who reside in Bonterra at Woodforest can enjoy the sport without ever leaving their neighborhood. This active adult community situated within the Woodforest master-planned community in Montgomery contains pickleball courts as well as courts for tennis.

Other amenities include an outdoor pool and patio, walking and biking trails, a fire pit, and an events lawn. Homeowners can head to the 10,000 square-foot clubhouse to take advantage of a well-equipped fitness center with locker rooms along with a continuing education center. There’s also a large events room with a kitchen in addition to meeting rooms and other social areas.

This age-restricted community offers 10 different models that range in size from 1,606 to 2,878 square feet and feature stainless steel appliances, energy-efficient windows, and covered rear patios. Some of this community’s single-family homes provide ceramic tile flooring in selective rooms, additional bedrooms, and extra garage space.
