Situated just 20 miles south of Albuquerque, Jubilee at Los Lunas has the potential to become the largest of active adult communities in New Mexico. Its beautiful location features mountain vistas and a temperate climate, as well as easy access to many exciting attractions and outdoor recreations.
Development plans for active senior communities also feature many on-site amenities including swimming pools, sports courts, and more – Jubilee at Los Lunas will not disappoint in this area either.
Jubilee at Los Lunas was opened by Jenamar Communities in 2006 with plans for an amenity-rich clubhouse and 700 low-maintenance homes. Phase one of the clubhouse, Villa Jubilee, opened in 2009 with an exciting line-up of amenities and proposed plans for the future.
Most active senior communities are 55+, but Jubilee at Los Lunas is open to residents aged 45 or better. Additionally, its single-family homes are designed for low-maintenance living. Homes originally built by Jenamar range in size from 1,143 to 2,872 square feet, and are now only available on a resale basis.
These designs include a minimum of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Although larger homes may have an additional den or third bedroom, and some models have up to three bathrooms. The Choice Series, built by Avalon, includes single-family homes in sizes from 1,405 to 2,975 square feet.
Floor plans typically include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages. Some of the larger models also have a den, third bedroom, or additional bathroom. Homes in the Choice Series are available as both new construction and resale homes.
However, in 2012, development of the community was transferred to Avalon Builders, LLC. Currently, residents can enjoy many great amenities at Villa Jubilee. The 11,000 square-foot clubhouse invites casual socializing as well as more structured community events like Karaoke Night or Dinner and Movie Nights.
Residents can relax in the cozy library lounge, express their creativity in the craft room or hang out in the pub with its own pool table and flat screen TV. The clubhouse’s state-of-the-art fitness center helps residents stay in shape with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment. It also has an aerobics studio with space for a variety of fitness classes.
Outdoors, residents can play horseshoes or bocce ball, or simply socialize on the spacious patio. Avalon’s development plans include expanding the community with new amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, and pickleball courts.
They also plan to bring shade to the existing bocce ball courts and support additional outdoor hobbies. Soon residents will be able to cultivate their own plants in the community gardens or gaze at the stars in the new observatory.
While new ownership brings new changes, Avalon plans to further develop Jubilee at Los Lunas with added amenities and desirable new homes, making it even more attractive to homebuyers looking for active adult communities.
