Parrotheads rejoice! Minto Communities will be bringing new homes to Latitude Margaritaville in Daytona, FL soon.

It was March 2017 when Minto Communities broke ground on Latitude Margaritaville in Daytona Beach, Florida. Seven months later, the sales center opened and excited Parrotheads descended on the Jimmy Buffett-inspired active adult community in droves.

The excitement hasn’t abated yet. Not only has it been the most popular active adult community on 55places.com since then but it also remains the most-visited community page on the site almost a year later.

All of that interest has translated into home sales. Bill Bullock, president of Minto’s Latitude Margaritaville division, recently told the Daytona News-Journal that they have already recorded 430 sales. Considering 111 homes have actually been completed so far, they’re getting ahead of the game. That’s likely why they’re getting ready to release a new round of homesites to potential buyers.

In fact, Bullock told the News-Journal that the company plans to release “(an average of) nine a week and will bump to 12 a week in October.” That’s good news for those waiting to see how the initial round of sales went before dipping their toe in the water.

The first phase of the community will include more than 3,000 homes but plans call for as many as 6,600 homes at build-out for Latitude Margaritaville. That also includes a swath of themed amenities to match the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle, including The Latitude Town Square, Fins Up! Fitness Center, Latitude Bar & Chill Restaurant, and Paradise Pool, all of which are expected to be completed by early 2019. There are also plans for a private beach club five miles away in Ormond Beach.
