Minto Hints at New Locations for Popular Latitude Margaritaville Communities

With three Latitude Margaritaville communities already announced, many are wondering where they\'ll go next. Minto just dropped a big hint.

Parrotheads rejoice: There could be a popular Latitude Margaritaville community coming in near you.

According to an article on, Minto, the developer of Latitude Margaritaville communities, is eyeing Nashville, Tennessee, and Austin, Texas, as potential locations for new 55+ communities. These cities, among others, are associated with music or have the easy, breezy lifestyle that align with the Latitude Margaritaville brand.

According to FoxBusiness, Bill Bullock, president of Minto Communities’ Latitude Margaritaville division, said, “It’s all about food, fun, and music. We’ve packaged escapism in a place where you can actually live.”

As current Margaritaville communities continue to grow in popularity, Minto sees an opportunity to expand beyond the coasts. In Florida, the original Latitude Margaritaville has already taken off. Nestled in the heart of the world-famous Daytona Beach, this 55+ community has won several awards, including the 2018 Community of the Year.

If you’re looking for homes for sale in Florida and you crave the relaxed vibe of a Margaritaville community, check out the nine models now open at Latitude Margaritaville – Daytona Beach.

A Laid-Back Lifestyle at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach

Active adult homebuyers who dream of an easygoing way of life will relish what they discover at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach. This up-and-coming 55+ community will soon open their Latitude Town Center and several other amenities.

Active adult homebuyers can choose from 15 different floor plans with an abundance of customizable options. The Caribbean Collection features six floor plans for attached villas, while the Beach Collection offers five floor plans for detached single-family homes and the Island Collection provides four floor plans for detached single-family homes.

While some amenities are available now, Minto is hoping to open the bulk of the resort-style amenities in the coming months. A Town Square serves as the community’s hub for activities of all kinds, from social get-togethers to invigorating workouts.

Homeowners can mingle over a long lunch at the Latitude Bar & Chill Restaurant, which offers indoor and outdoor dining along with Margaritaville-inspired menus and drinks. There’s also a theater, pet spa, dog park, and many other indoor and outdoor amenities, and eventually, a private beach.

The community is already getting rave reviews from early homeowners, which is only expected to increase as more amenities open.

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head

The second Jimmy Buffett-inspired community, Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head, was announced in 2017. Located in the incredibly popular Hilton Head area, the community promises another good coastal option.

Residents moved in in 2018 and the community has plans for 3,000 homes and similar amenities to the Daytona Beach location. The Lake Latitude Club, which features a pool, fitness center, and beach area, is open for homeowners. More amenities will open over the next few years.

Latitude Margaritaville Watersound

Possibly the most highly-anticipated 55+ community in the country is Latitude Margaritaville Watersound. Much like the Daytona Beach community, Latitude Margaritaville Watersound looks to reshape Panama City from a spring break locale to a retirement destination.

After getting rezoning approval, Minto hopes to begin construction this year and a grand opening in 2020. Residents can expect similar amenities, home styles, and a lifestyle to the other two communities.
