Minto Communities and The St. Joe Company recently released new details about their latest 55+ community, Latitude Margaritaville Watersound. Construction has begun on the development located in Panama City, and ground has been broken for its first 248 homesites—13 of which are home models for potential residents to tour upon completion. The models are expected to be open in April 2021.
While the beginning stages of construction are just getting off the ground, final plans for the neighborhood’s first phase include a total of 3,500 single-family homes as well as a long list of resort-style amenities that will make it easy for residents to always feel as though they’re on vacation.
Latitude Margaritaville Watersound will feature four home collections—Conch Cottage, Caribbean Villas, Beach, and Island Collections. Homes within the community will range from 1,204 to 2,564 square feet, and prices are expected to start in the low $200s.
Although the official list of all the amenities Latitude Margaritaville Watersound will offer hasn’t been released, Minto Communities and The St. Joe Company have released information about several proposed amenities that will be available to homeowners. The new community is slated to have its very own Town Center, which will serve as the heart of the community as well as the social hub. The Town Center is expected to have everything from a town square and a state-of-the-art fitness center to an on-site restaurant and a theater. There will also be a resort-style pool, a dog park, and several athletic courts.
Beyond its planned amenities, the community is also conveniently located near several retail shopping and dining destinations. Future plans for the nearby area also include a marina and commercial village, which will give residents even more opportunities to explore and stay active.
