Blakeley is the newest 55+ community being built in Cary, North Carolina.

Construction on a new age-qualified community called Blakeley has begun in Cary, North Carolina. CalAtlantic Homes plans to build 137 residences with a variety of living options to meet the needs of any active adult. Plans for Blakeley call for expansive natural space with scenic ponds. The surrounding area bears many opportunities for recreation, including a brand new YMCA, and with proximity to Interstate 540 and Highway 55, residents will be able to explore the Raleigh-Durham Area with ease.

CalAtlantic Homes is bringing their well-crafted, energy-efficient designs to Blakeley, offering single-family homes on the northern half of the community and attached homes along the south. All homes offer first-floor master suites with a maintenance-free lifestyle. Modern kitchens are designed with walk-in pantries and kitchen islands. Master bathrooms offer double-sink vanities, spacious showers, and elegant tubs. Screened-in or covered porches let homeowners take in the scenery.

Two collections of homes will be featured at Blakeley, with attached homes from the Signature Collection comprising the southern end of the community. Homebuyers can choose from four distinct models in this collection: Baker, Abbott, Chelsea, and Devon. These homes range in size from 1,948 to 2,312 square feet with two bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage.

Luxurious single-family ranch homes from the Reserve Collection will be built on the north side. Models include Mathis, Gavin, Hargrave, and Markham. These homes range in size from 2,140 to 3,150 square feet and have two or three bedrooms, three or four bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Dens or flex rooms are available in some single-family homes while others include second-floor lofts.

Where the north and south collections meet, residents will be able to stroll through a wide-open green space with shady trees and tranquil bodies of water. Venturing out of the community, Blakeley homeowners will find a brand new 45,000 square-foot YMCA just around the corner. This facility includes a pool, gym, wellness center, group exercise studios, and more. Cary Tennis Park is also nearby, offering 30 tennis courts. Golf courses in the area include Prestonwood Country Club, Old Chatham Golf Club, and Governors Club Golf Course.

A short trip up Highway 55 leads to Parkside Town Commons, a collection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues that includes Target, Hobby Lobby, and Frank Theatres CineBowl & Grille. Food Lion, Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart can be found to the east in Grace Park. An eclectic variety of restaurants are spread throughout the area, including Doherty’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, JJ China Restaurant, Viva Mexico Restaurant, and Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe.

Blakeley is located just ten minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. For a day out in the city, Downtown Raleigh is only half an hour away, offering attractions like the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts, PNC Arena, North Carolina State University, and North Carolina Museum of Art. With a variety of attractive homes conveniently situated near fantastic amenities, Blakeley looks to be a highly sought-after community for active adults in Cary, NC.

  1. That is a very nice house but, the price for that home is the prices of California homes and they are not 55 plus homes but it is very nice.
