Port St. Lucie is already home to a collection of active adult communities but the arrival of Cresswind at PGA Village Verano appears to be taking things up a notch. While Kolter Homes’ PGA Village Verano community has welcomed homebuyers of all ages since 2008, the arrival of Cresswind signals a chance for 55+ buyers to carve out their own niche within this master-planned community.

Once completed, Cresswind is set to include 249 single-family homes with four different floor plans to appease the varied tastes of buyers. Homes will range between 1,571 and 2,576 square feet and include two-to-four bedrooms, up to three-and-a-half baths, and attached two-car garages. Each home will include energy-efficient designs and thoughtfully-designed outdoor living areas. While first-floor master suites are common in all home models, all plans come with options to add a bonus room or second floor.

Living in PGA Village Verano means access to all of the amenities and activities therein. At the center of the community is the 27,000 square-foot social center, Club Talavera. Inside, residents can kick back in the lounge, sports bar, or coffee bar, or go have some fun in the billiards room, card rooms, arts & crafts studio, or demonstration kitchen.

There’s also a 13,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art fitness center that includes everything from a weight room to a sauna, yoga studio, and heated indoor junior Olympic-size lap pool and spa. You can take it outside as well on two bocce ball courts, a half basketball court, and four tennis courts. Potential pet residents will be pleased to know there’s also a dog park and walking trails.

You can’t talk about PGA Village Verano without mentioning the PGA Golf Club located right next door. Here, members are able to play three championship courses from noted golf course designers Pete Dye and Tom Fazio. The club also includes the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance, a 35-acre practice facility, and the PGA Historical Center Museum.

Because Cresswind is located in Port St. Lucie, everything else you might need is located nearby. Quality shopping, good restaurants, and medical services are all within driving distance. You’re also minutes from I-95 for getting to and from other places around The Treasure Coast. Baseball fans not only get to see the St. Lucie Mets all season long, the city is also home to the New York Mets Spring Training each year.
