Del Webb Nocatee: Residences & Amenities
New construction homes and villas will soon be available to buyers 55 and over, with nine different floor plans to choose from. Properties will be constructed in traditional styles as well as craftsman and coastal models. Prices are expected to start in the mid $200s and the sizes will range from 1,488 square feet to 3,700 square feet. The community will blend into the Nocatee master-planned community, which is just south of Ponte Vedra and its dazzling beaches, and about 30 miles from Jacksonville.
Amenities are still being developed but residents of Del Webb Nocatee will have access to an exclusive 20,000 square-foot clubhouse that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center. Outside, residents will be able to enjoy a resort-style swimming pool, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. The builder also plans to construct food and beverage locations in and around the clubhouse.
As part of the larger Nocatee master-planned community, residents also gain access to a slew of non-restricted amenities found throughout. There are various parks and pools, including Splash Water Park which includes a zip line. The grandkids will probably want to spend their whole trip there. There are also walking trails and lakes to discover. The Nocatee Town Center provides a central location for retail, restaurant, and entertainment experiences.
Del Webb’s 55+ Reputation
If you’re wondering what kind of community Del Webb is capable of creating, there’s another one in the neighborhood which can serve as an excellent reference.
At Del Webb Ponte Vedra, active adult residents enjoy a sizable number of amenities and activities, including an aerobics studio, catering kitchen, and various sports courts. They even have their own party planning committee to manage the well-attended social events. A 38,000 square-foot clubhouse called The Anastasia Club includes a learning center, a fitness center, and a day spa.
Getting to Know the Area
Nocatee provides access to all of the amenities available in a large city while maintaining its quiet, private sense of community. But while Nocatee is its own enclave within Ponte Vedra, there are plenty of beaches, golf courses, natural parks, and recreation just minutes away.
Let’s start with golf. The TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra is a championship par-72 course designed by Pete and Alice Dye. It’s also where THE PLAYERS Championship is held. The National Headquarters of the PGA Tour is in Ponte Vedra, as well as the Champions Tour.
If tennis is more your game, there’s additional good news for you. The Association of Tennis Professionals is also based here. Other local courses you might enjoy as a golfer with high standards are The Lagoon Course at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club or the Marsh Landing Country Club, which has been a popular place to play for more than 30 years.
Ponte Vedra is in St. John’s County. If you love beach life there are several local public beaches where locals gather to swim, boat, fish, and enjoy other activities like wakeboarding, surfing, and water skiing.
South Beach Park and Mickler’s Landing are the places to be when you’re searching for sun and sand. Resorts like the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, The Lodge & Club, and the Sawgrass Marriott are excellent places to enjoy a drink, have some dinner, or book a spa treatment.
Nature lovers will enjoy Nocatee and its nearby preserves and parks. Start with Nocatee Preserve, which has trails for walking, biking, horseback riding, and jogging. For a more intense hike or some wildlife viewing, there’s also Guana Preserve and its diverse collection of plants and animals. You’ll be greeted by flocks of pelicans at the entrance. Bird lovers have Bird Island Park, where you’ll always see shorebirds such as herons, egrets, spoonbills, and even wood storks. There are also beautifully landscaped mazes and a sculpture garden.
In the Neighborhood: Jacksonville & St. Augustine
Del Webb Nocatee will be ideally located between Jacksonville, one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S., and St. Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S. A 30-minute drive in either direction will give you access to all of the health care, historical monuments, art museums, and shopping centers found within both. The community is also 90 minutes from Daytona Beach and two hours from Orlando. For longer trips or visits from the grandkids, Jacksonville International Airport is just an hour away.
