A brand new community called Imagery is currently under construction in Mount Holly, North Carolina. This 510-home active adult community built by Lennar Homes will bring the active adult lifestyle to the shores of Mountain Island Lake.
This North Carolina community was built with local history and geography in mind. The land was previously owned by a couple in the arts community, known as Little Italy to them. This creative couple was inspired by the property’s scenic views and decided to build just under a dozen buildings with studio space in each for artists. Lennar plan to keep those studios and their creative mindset alive, not only through the preservation of these buildings but also by hosting arts programs for residents inside them.
Amenities & Lifestyle
Imagery will be centered around a community village made up of those converted buildings dedicated to amenities and activities for residents. The village will include a clubhouse, fitness and yoga center, and the aforementioned studio space for classes and clubs from paintings to pottery and much more.
The village will also host courts for various outdoor sports activities such as bocce, pickleball, and tennis. Residents will also enjoy an outdoor pool and patio or a hike on one of the many trails that weave throughout the peninsula.
The official floor plans for homes at Imagery have not yet been announced, but according to the Gaston Gazette, homes will range from 1,400 to 4,000 square-feet with two-to-four bedrooms, two-to-three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. All homes will feature a first-floor master suite with an optional second-level floor plan. Prices of homes are said to start in the high $200s with pre-sale beginning in the fall of 2018.
Imagery will reside on the shores of picturesque Mountain Island Lake, which neighbors Lake Norman. Communities near these lakes all have easy access to the hottest fishing and hiking spots in the Charlotte area. The community is also located directly across the water from Latta Plantation Nature Preserve, ideal for hikes and exploring. The community will also be about a half-hour drive from Charlotte and all of the restaurant, retail, and entertainment options that you can find there.
