Regency at Avenir is coming to Palm Beach Gardens this year. Here's what the community will have to offer.

A new 55+ community in Palm Beach Gardens is getting a lot of attention lately, and it’s easy to see why. Regency at Avenir is setting a pretty high standard for active adult living in an area known for its beaches, golf, and shopping.

Buyers looking at homes for sale in Palm Beach County won't want to miss the homes and amenities that are expected in this lifestyle-oriented neighborhood. It’s less than half an hour from West Palm Beach, and it's a short drive from Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike.

Amenities With a Focus on Community

In Regency at Avenir’s clubhouse and community spaces, neighbors will be able to get together for classes, activities, and special events. The community will have a full-time lifestyle director on staff to facilitate exercise classes and day trips. Residents can expect card tournaments, cocktail parties, dinner clubs, pickleball tournaments, and tennis matches.

The amenities planned for Regency at Avenir include a fitness center with the latest strength training and cardio equipment as well as a yoga studio where practitioners of all skill levels will be welcome. Residents can also get together in the art studio for drawing and painting, and there will be a ballroom and a cafe. An outdoor amphitheater will be a central gathering spot, and residents will also have a pool and a patio as well as pickleball and tennis courts.

Single-Family Homes in Diverse Models

Plans call for 469 single-family new construction homes. Toll Brothers has not released any specifics about floor plans yet, but buyers can expect 10 models to choose from. Most properties will have between 1,800 and 2,800 square feet. They will embrace open floor plans, offer gourmet kitchens, and provide spacious master suites in single-story homes. Hundreds of design options will be available to buyers when it’s time to choose fixtures, flooring, paint colors, and finishes.

The community expects to open in the spring of 2020, at which time potential buyers will have an opportunity to tour the homesites and preview some model homes and floor plans.

Plans Include Conservation

The community has a desirable location in the middle of Palm Beach Gardens, a popular region for seasonal snowbirds as well as full-time residents who enjoy a Florida retirement with year-round sunshine and outdoor recreation. Regency at Avenir will be part of the new master-planned community of Avenir along Northlake Boulevard.

This is intended to be a large-scale, mixed-use project. According to current plans, more than 2,400 acres of the land designated to this project will be set aside for conservation and preservation. This will provide some natural flora and fauna for residents to enjoy while biking and walking through Avenir.

Living in Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens real estate is popular because it’s close to a lot of well-known southern Florida destinations like Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. Regency at Avenir will be close to some of the area’s best shopping. Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is just a few minutes away, offering unique retail shops, restaurants, and special events like parades, farmers markets, and festivals. It’s fun to spend some time in PGA Commons as well, where there are upscale shops and delicious restaurants like Prosecco Cafe and Spoto’s Oyster Bar

Golfers will feel like they’ve hit a hole in one when they move into Regency at Avenir. The PGA National Golf Club is in the neighborhood, with its five championship golf courses, restaurants, and spa. Local courses include the Sandhill Crane Golf Club, nestled along wetlands and a pine forest, as well as Old Marsh Golf Club.

Nature lovers can find wildlife, birds, and native Florida plants at Grassy Waters Preserve where there’s hiking, paddling, and plenty of opportunities for picnicking and photography. Lectures and group canoe trips can be found in the education center. The J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area allows hunting, fishing, hiking, and birdwatching. The cypress wetlands here are home to bobcats, cranes, and indigo snakes.

There’s also the beach. Regency at Avenir will be minutes from Juno Beach Park and Ocean Reef Park. Surfing is popular as well as deep-sea fishing, sunbathing, and watching the sunsets.
