Luxury home builder Toll Brothers announced the groundbreaking of a new development in Castle Rock, Colorado in March. The 1,200-home community of Montaine will also include 664 age-restricted homes, which will be called Regency at Montaine. The Pennsylvania-based builder has constructed communities in 22 states, including their Regency-branded 55+ communities.
Luxury Homes in Scenic Surroundings
Toll Brothers has not yet released floor plans for the Regency at Montaine models. However, the homes will be single-family properties starting in the low $400s. Most of the Regency communities offer single-family homes ranging from 1,600 to over 2,000 square feet, and they're designed with active adults in mind.
The planned community of Montaine will also include about 600 non-age-restricted single-family homes. Toll Brothers offers many customizable options for homeowners to create a home that suits their needs and tastes. The developer hopes to have models open in the spring of 2020.
From inside and outside their homes, residents will have scenic hillside views of the area’s natural landscape. According to the Castle Rock News-Press, Toll Brothers plans to retain 550 acres, or 65 percent of the site, as public open space. They plan to build trails for hiking, biking, and walking. One trail will connect to the Front Range Trail System. In addition to having a view of Castle Rock's surroundings, residents will be able to hike to the peak of Mount Montaine, the highest peak in the area.
An Active Lifestyle Community
In addition to the outdoor recreation opportunities Toll Brothers will create, the builder is also planning amenities within the community. Regency at Montaine will include an exclusive clubhouse and amenity center for residents. Toll Brothers also plans to build a recreation center open to all residents of Montaine.
Although the details of the recreation centers are not yet available, Toll Brothers plans to include resort-style pools, fitness centers, and social spaces. At other Regency communities, residents enjoy outdoor and indoor pools, fitness centers, bocce ball and pickleball courts as well as lounges, game rooms, and outdoor patios and firepits.
Easy Access to Nearby Attractions
Regency at Montaine will be situated between Denver and Colorado Springs, with easy access to Interstate 25. If residents need longer hikes or more scenic views of the Front Range, Castlewood Canyon State Park and Roxborough State Park are just a short drive away. The East Plum Creek Trail in Castle Rock provides a 6-mile paved trail, good for bird watching. In addition to the nearby hiking and outdoor recreation, residents can golf at the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course and the Plum Creek Golf Course.
Downtown Castle Rock offers residents a quaint, historic Colorado town with coffee shops, restaurants, museums, community centers, and shopping. However, the community also provides a good location for those looking to live close to the city but not in the bustle of Denver or Colorado Springs. Downtown Denver is about a 45-minute drive away, as is the Denver International Airport. Colorado Springs is a 45-minute drive south.
