Active adults looking for homes in a 55+ community in Kissimmee, Florida have a new option. Pulte Homes has announced they’ll be building Tohoqua Reserve inside the master-planned Tohoqua community. Single-family and attached new construction homes are available for presale. Homes are priced from the $200s to the $400s.

What to Expect from Tohoqua Reserve

Amenities at Tohoqua Reserve will be pretty expansive, giving residents an opportunity to stay physically and socially engaged. Two amenity centers will be available, one which is a private collection of amenities specific to the 55+ neighborhood. The other amenity center is welcoming to all homeowners within the larger community. 

Residents can expect to gather at the clubhouse, which will be a popular hotspot for club activities, special events, and holiday gatherings. In addition to multipurpose space and ample fitness space, there will be plenty to do outdoors. The community includes a resort-style pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and a dog park. Trails within the community connect to a larger system within Kissimmee.

Kissimmee Homes and Real Estate

Buyers have a lot of options when they’re looking at homes for sale in the Tohoqua Reserve community. Pulte Homes expects to build 258 homes within this gated community.

For low-maintenance attached homes, there’s a 1,579 square-foot model with two bedrooms and bathrooms. This model also features a den and an attached two-car garage. 

Buyers who want a bit more space and privacy can also consider some of the single-family floor plans, which are available in six models. These homes range 1,670 to 2,870 square feet. They have two to five bedrooms, den spaces, and two to four bathrooms. Each home has an attached two-car garage and outdoor space. 

Living in Kissimmee, Florida

The Tohoqua Reserve community offers just about everything needed to enjoy a high quality of life, however another benefit to this community is its highly desirable location. Kissimmee is just outside of Orlando, and easy to access from just about any part of Florida. It’s also close to the Florida Turnpike and to Interstate 4, making trips to Tampa or Lakeland or Jacksonville a breeze. Residents are less than two hours from both the Atlantic and the Gulf coasts. 

All the popular theme parks are close to the community, but one of the advantages to living outside of Orlando is that there’s so much more to explore than Disney and SeaWorld. 

Golf is popular in this part of Florida, and some of the local courses include Kissimmee Bay Country Club and Oaks National Golf Club. Shopping can be found at The Florida Mall or in small boutiques in nearby Celebration. 

Living in Florida means plenty of sunshine for most of the year. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the freshwater fishing in some of the lakes throughout Kissimmee as well as the hiking, boating, and wildlife viewing opportunities in spots like Lake Kissimmee State Park.
