Traditions of America is already one of the most popular builders in Pennsylvania. Now, they're adding another 55+ community, Lehigh Valley.

55+ homebuilder Traditions of America has announced the arrival of their 26th age-restricted community, Traditions of America at Green Pond in Bethlehem, PA. The community marks a return to the Lehigh Valley where they’ve built up a reputation with the success of Traditions of America at Saucon Valley, Traditions of America at Hanover, and Traditions of America at Bridle Path.

The 55+ community has been approved to include 229 homes, which will be a mix of attached and single-family homes. The homes will be centered around a clubhouse where residents can gather. Community amenity plans also call for a heated swimming pool, pickleball court, bocce court, and walking trails.

Traditions of America will break ground in winter 2018. The developer told Lehigh Valley Live they expect sales to begin in early spring 2019 and for residential move-ins to begin later that year.

No word yet on pricing here, though home prices in nearby Traditions of America communities run the gamut from high $200s to high $400s, depending on the home styles available.

Residents here will be in a prime location to appreciate everything Lehigh Valley has to offer. Green Pond Country Club is just south of the community, making it easy to hop on one of the region’s top public golf courses. Residents will also live right next door to Louise Moore County Park, a 100-acre park with hiking trails, community gardens, and picnic pavilions. There are also many historic attractions, entertainment options, dining establishments, and retail shops in Bethlehem and the surrounding Allentown area.

Traditions of America not only expect this community to appeal to Pennsylvania residents but also attract interest from neighboring New Jersey as well.

“This community will be very advantageous to New Jersey residents looking to escape the high taxes and overcrowding,” says Jay Goldberg, VP of Marketing for Traditions of America, in a press release. “That has been [the case for] a lot of customers at our Bridle Path and Saucon Valley communities, and maybe even more so with the recent tax changes.”
