Retirees looking for an age-restricted community in Orlando can finally rejoice. Plans are underway for a new 55+ community called The Gatherings of Lake Nona, located just one mile east of the VA Medical Center and off Laureate Boulevard. Tavistock Development Co. LLC is the developer of the 7,000-acre master-planned Lake Nona community, which will have Beazer Homes USA build the 216-condo unit project across 9.7 acres. Conceptual renderings show units to be in multi-story buildings with standalone garages. The community will also have a 218-space parking lot.
As the first active adult community in Lake Nona, Baby Boomers will enjoy a private and welcoming atmosphere where they will be able to share interests with other like-minded adults. The Gatherings at Lake Nona will offer exclusive resort-style amenities that cater to the active adult lifestyle where they can be physically fit and socially engaged. The community will include a 4,400-square-foot clubhouse, an outdoor swimming pool, and shuffleboard courts, that will make it a fun and vibrant place to live.
As of August 1st, the developer has begun the paperwork and permits required by the city of Orlando. With these new 55+ residential options targeting retirees in this growing area, The Gatherings of Lake Nona will be the new hot spot retirement destination in Orlando, Florida.
