Check out what the plans are for the new 55+ community in Horsehoe Bay.

Developer Legend Communities is in the process of building an age-restricted community called Tuscan Village Horseshoe Bay in the Texas Hill Country. The active adult community will be built on 68 acres of the master-planned community’s golf course Summit Rock, located at the southeast corner of RR 2147 and Texas 71. Summit Rock is a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course that opened in 2012 with a small number of single-family lots sold. Legend Communities plans to revive this development with its new home designs for people 55 and better.

The new development will include 300 homes and consist of three different types of home styles including villas ranging in size from approximately 1,800 to 3,200 square feet, townhomes ranging from 1,294 to 1,790 square feet, and golf estate lots ranging from 3,600 to 4,400 square feet. The community will consist of 60% villas, 40% townhomes, and 13 golf estate homesites. Pricing for the homes will start in the low $300s and go up to the high $800s.

The developer plans to offer resort-style amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness facility, activity building, swimming pool, community garden, faux vineyard, natural open spaces, pickleball and bocce ball courts, dog park, and walking and jogging trails. An activities director will also be available at the community to help coordinate programs and events for residents to partake in such as group exercise, yoga, dance lessons, and arts and crafts.

Residents of Tuscan Village Horseshoe Bay will also have the option to join different levels of membership within the larger development of Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Tuscan Village Horseshoe Bay is expected to open for pre-construction sales this summer and host a grand opening even in early 2018.
