Why the New Name?
Originally known as Sun City Vistoso, the community recently announced its new name, Sun City Oro Valley. Renaming the community was the result of over 800 resident surveys, group studies and much input including over 100 name suggestions. According to representatives of Sun City Oro Valley, the new name "Captures a sense of place ... the cache of living in Oro Valley. It is recognized as a premier town to live in, and the new name identifies with the town." While the name may be new, the community is still well-known for offering world-class amenities and the famous Del Webb lifestyle.
