Opened in 2007, Sun City Peachtree invites active adults to enjoy resort-style living just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. This spectacular Del Webb community impresses with a spacious clubhouse, 18-hole golf course and beautifully landscaped grounds, yet its distinctive single-family homes are affordable for many active adult retirees.

Sun City Peachtree is located in Griffin, just 35 miles south of Atlanta. This prime location offers quiet, small-town charm along with close proximity to urban shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. Del Webb began building the community’s single-family homes in 2007 with plans to eventually develop about 3,300 residences. Interested homebuyers can currently purchase available resale or new construction homes with floor plans ranging from 1,103 to 2,597 square feet. Homes are designed with main-level living, yet two models offer optional second-story lofts for additional living space.

Amenities and Recreation

Activity in Sun City Peachtree is centered around Club Peachtree, a 45,000 square-foot facility which houses amenities designed to appeal to the varied interests of community residents. The clubhouse includes billiards and card rooms, arts and crafts studios, a computer lab, a restaurant and a multipurpose ballroom.

Social areas within the clubhouse encourage friendly gatherings as well as more formal meetings and events. Just a few of the community’s special-interest clubs include the Christian Fellowship Group, the Collette Travel Club, the Nest Egg Investment Group and the Sunshine Club. There are also clubs and classes centered around arts and crafts, book discussion, cards and games, gardening, volunteering and much more.

Club Peachtree’s spacious fitness center boasts state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, an indoor walking track, an aerobics studio and an indoor lap pool. Group fitness classes make it easy for residents to try popular activities like aerobics, yoga and water aerobics.

Outdoors, resident golfers will love the challenging play at the Canongate Sun City Peachtree 18-hole golf course. This 6,822-yard, par-72 course was designed by Gary Stephenson with rolling fairways and towering trees which add to the beauty of the community grounds. The course accommodates golfers with five sets of tees, and members of this private club also receive access to all of Canongate’s 23 courses within the Atlanta metro area.

Beyond golf, Sun City Peachtree’s beautiful grounds offer a wide range of recreations. The resort-style pool area is the perfect place to soak up some summer sun or cool off with a swim. Tennis players are supported with nine clay courses and one stadium course, while additional sports courts offer pickleball and bocce ball. More outdoor amenities include walking and biking trails, botanical gardens and preserved forests.
