For the sixth consecutive year, 55places is pleased to announce the 50 best-selling 55+ communities of the previous 12 months. Refining the process used to determine last year’s communities, 55places included both our own sales data and external sales data from listing services across the country. Methodology

To determine the best-selling communities, we weighed the number of both 55places home sales and MLS home sales for 2020. We calculated all homes that were listed in a community and divided it by how many of those homes actually sold for the entire year to get a sales conversion number. We also factored in the size of each community to remove bias from communities with more homes to sell.
