Buyers who are downsizing to one car or even no cars will be just fine at Lauderdale West, where community transit is reliable and efficient. It takes residents to the two local malls, the neighborhood grocery stores, and Plantation Walk, which is merely 10 minutes from Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Attached homes are 900 to 1,250 square feet with one or two bedrooms and assigned parking. Single-family homes have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,460 to 1,750 square feet. These homes are ideal for downsizing and come with screened patios, lots of closet space, and upgrades like tile floors.
The main clubhouse includes dozens of amenities such as a woodworking shop, exercise room, sauna, and library. There’s also an outdoor pool and spa, tennis courts, and six shuffleboard courts. Residents who live on the other side of this 55+ community will find themselves closer to the second clubhouse, which includes a multi-purpose room, a pool and spa, as well as a pickleball court. 2. Leisureville – Pompano Beach, FL
