Verona offers low-maintenance living set amidst the gorgeous scenic surroundings of Highlands Ranch, CO.

Opened in July 2011, Verona is a Tuscan-themed Colorado community that welcomes active adults aged 55+. This exciting new development features low-maintenance homes with many beautiful design touches, such as nine-foot tray ceilings, arched panel doors, luxury bath features, and designer kitchens. Plans are also underway for the Teatro clubhouse, a 24,000 square-foot amenity center which will provide residents with a variety of desirable resort-style amenities.

Location

The Verona community is being developed by Verona Building Co. to specifically appeal to active adult homebuyers. Its prime location in Highlands Ranch is about 30 minutes south of Denver and 30 minutes southwest of Aurora, putting it within close proximity of many retail centers, restaurants, and other services. Highlands Ranch also boasts gorgeous scenic views and easy access to the 8,200-acre Backcountry Wilderness wildlife preserve.

Residences

Homes in Verona are designed to be low-maintenance with open floor plans and minimal landscaping. Lawn and exterior maintenance, including snow removal, is included with the monthly Homeowners Association fees. Upon completion, Verona will contain approximately 506 residences spread across two distinct collections: the Manors and the Villas.

The Manors

Homebuyers who want smaller, easy-care homes can choose a first- or second-floor single-story unit in one of the Manors buildings. Each of these units include a two-car garage (tandem or side-by-side), and second-floor units can be reached by elevator or a common stairway. Homes in the Manors collection range in size from about 1,240 to 1,641 square feet. They have one to three bedrooms and one-and-a-half or two bathrooms.

The Villas

The Villas collection offers larger homes with floor plans ranging from 2,596 to 2,857 square feet. Most models provide main-level living with the addition of a finished lower level. One model, the Barone, has its spacious master bedroom located on the second-floor. Each home in the Villas collection has a minimum of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Upscale kitchens and deluxe master bedroom suites add luxurious appeal.

Amenities

The Verona community is still in the early stages of development, which includes plans for the 24,000 square-foot Teatro clubhouse. This new facility will be designed to support an active adult lifestyle with a range of resort-style amenities. Proposed plans include a state-of-the-art fitness center, multipurpose meeting rooms, lounge areas, an outdoor swimming pool and a large patio with barbecues for outdoor gatherings.

Verona is an age-restricted community that is designed to have an updated take on active adult living. As the plans for the Teatro clubhouse move forward, the developer welcomes ideas and suggestions from the community’s residents. Until the clubhouse is completed, residents can make use of walking and biking trails which stretch along the High Line Canal.

As Verona continues to grow, interested homebuyers can choose from available resale and new construction homes. The community’s prime location and planned amenities make it an ideal destination for active adults in the Colorado area.
